Launched in 2024, and in partnership with La Trobe University, the Digital Operations Centre in Bendigo is the national hub for Deloitte Australia’s Operate capabilities. The Centre supports the delivery of services that enhance client outcomes through operating critical processes, infrastructure, platforms and applications (Digital Back Office, Business Process as a Service). The Centre provides a specialised workforce that services Deloitte's national clients across a spectrum of sectors including Public Sector, Consumer and Financial Services. The vision for the centre is to grow to 200 roles within 5 years, providing national clients with high-quality Operate support across a select set of offerings. Through training programs, mentoring and local career opportunities for both La Trobe students and alternative candidate profiles, the Centre supports the growing innovation community in Bendigo to build in-demand skills that support national and Victorian services.

Bendigo Telco was founded in 2000 by a group of forward-thinking Bendigo businesses inspired by the community banking model pioneered by Bendigo Bank. Established as a local initiative to improve access to telecommunications services in regional areas, the organisation has played a key role in strengthening digital connectivity across the Loddon Mallee region. By aggregating local demand and advocating for better infrastructure and services, Bendigo Telco has helped shape a more competitive telecommunications landscape. MRIC unites the world-leading research capabilities of the University of Melbourne and La Trobe University, and partners with SuniTAFE.
